Experience matters and Lisa offers this in abundance.
For more than 20 yrs. Lisa was a Marketing Communications leader tasked with developing a deep understanding of customer needs and desires.
After a spinal injury in 1996 and subsequent spinal surgery at 38 yrs. of age, Lisa was "a mess, I was pumped full of narcotics that made me SO sick, barely functional. I realized there had to be a better solution for neuropathic back pain.” Lisa spent 17 yrs. studying and researching Medical Cannabis and Cannabinoid Therapy for seriously ill patients. “I figured out how to manage my pain and increase functionality, without getting high." Lisa was able to manage her pain and workplace challenges brought about by her spinal condition, keep and manage a demanding career and look after her family. "I had a life again!” She has been a patient advocate for the past 15 years and a Speaker and Educator for the past 5 years.
Unfortunately, in 2015 Lisa was injured in a serious hit and run car accident "that sent my life into a downward spiral, physically and mentally. I had physiotherapy 8 hrs. a week, I had to leave my Communications career behind, and to make matters even worse, the stress completely fractured my marriage, I was now on my own with two kids and a dog. I was offered the option to go on permanent disability, and found this idea completely devastating! I had just turned 50 and my first thought was...this can't be IT?? There's so much more for me to do, I need to get my life back! But first I had to wait for another spinal surgery, that was required after the car accident."
As a passionate leader and a seeker and sharer of knowledge, Lisa went back to school at the ripe young age of 54, she had spinal surgery in early 2020 and used the recuperation time to complete her studies and become Certified as a Health, Nutrition and Life Coach.
“For the years leading up to my surgery I made some serious changes, broke some not so great habits and got myself so healthy and strong that when I had my surgery at the beginning of this year, I was stronger than I had been in years – I recovered faster than I did at 38! I found ways to work around my back (and neck, I also have severe cervical degenerative disk disease in addition to the lower back injury) and within 2 months of my surgery I was walking without assistance and a couple of weeks after that I was walking 7 km at least 4 times a week. My happy place has always involved getting close to nature so I am out and about hiking and adventure seeking, weekly!”
“As a child I always wanted to save the world one human being at a time, so I started with myself and now I'm finally where I was meant to be, doing what I was meant to do. Helping others find the path to their best, healthiest, most fulfilling life possible!”
